Newsletter - October 2016

We are proud to publish Building Bridges’ first official Newsletter and share a little of what has been done so far.

JANUARY 2016 Carina Baum travelled “home” to Kenya once again, kindly invited by Prof. Jack Kamiruka and Lake Basin Centre for theology studies - Kisumu to the 2nd annual conference “The role of Church as an agent of change”, where her “Motivation and Work Commitment” lecture was successfully delivered.

Carina was pleased and proud to be part of this international event in which guest speakers, from different backgrounds and religions shared the same vision and focused on proper leadership and attitude as a crucial factors in making changes.

During her trip to Kenya, Carina had the opportunity to hold very productive meetings towards developing cooperation and joint programmes in Israel and in Kenya.

MARCH 2016 Lecture “Motivation and Work Commitment, the Israel experience” - Hotel Sharon – Herzliya, Israel were delivered to a group from Nigeria, visiting Israel on a pilgrimage tour, accompanied by a good friend and partner – Prophet Olu Lajuwomi with whom Carina Baum has been partnering in bringing groups for Israel since 2013.

Special Pilgrimage Tour – Anglican Church - Mozambique – jointly organized with Dana Tours – Mozambique and Nazarene Tours – Israel.

MAY 2016 Lecture “Motivation and Work Commitment, the Israel experience” and special Study Tour – Green Houses - Agriculture Olly Management Consultants - Nigeria

JULY 2016

Special Visit – Benson Idahosa University – Cooperation with Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and Israeli Tertiary Education Institutions. Bishop Feb Idahosa, President of BIU, wanted to share the Israeli Experience and Technion Institute of Technology in particular, with senior staff management towards opening their School of Engineering following the standards of Technion. During their visit they hosted several fruitful meetings, at University Ariel, Weizmann Institute, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and more. It was a successful and productive visit.

AUGUST 2016 Carina Baum traveled "home" to Nigeria and Ghana once again. She was invited as a resource person at Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) - Nigeria International Conference and Pentecost University College Graduate School (PUCGS) - Accra - Ghana

Special day meetings – Prof. Jack Makhaza – Share World University – Malawi Visit to the Embassy of Hungary for a network event with a special delegation from the health sector in Hungary.

Yahel Demeter – in Country programmes designed to enhance performance and organizational commitment. During these programmes, participants will receive tools which will be of great value on Branding and Marketing Strategies, Creativity – Entrepreneurship, Team Work and proper leadership. Fred Stielow – Upgrading and optimizing the University Library, access to a wide range of Invaluable study material available on Cyber Space which can greatly increase students’ knowledge and be of great value towards Universities’ accreditation processes. Amos Carmeli – Involvement of University Students with the Community – a leading and inspiring mentoring project and possibilities of implementing it in Malawi.
